What to donate:
We are looking for and gratefully accepting new unwrapped toys, sports apparel, $25 gift cards, monetary donations, and wrapping supplies. Below are guidelines on what we need and where to donate them.
Toy/Gift Guidelines:
* New toys in the original packaging (unwrapped) for children ages infant to 17
* Cost should be no more than $25. On drop-off, please attach the “normal” price of the toy with a post-it note or masking/painters tape on to the box.
* Younger children-suggested Items (but not limited to):
- Board games
- Legos/Duplo Blocks
- Action figures/dolls
- Educational toys
- Arts and craft items
- Puzzles and card games.
Older Children-suggested items (but not limited to):
- Local sports apparel (all sizes)-Nordonia, Browns, Guardians, Cavaliers, OSU
- Headphones and blue tooth speakers
- Arts and craft items
- Jewelry sets, watches
- Wallets, purses
- Basketball, soccer balls, and other sports items
* Avoid toys that require batteries
Gift Card Guidelines:
* Gift cards in denominations of $25
* Suggested stores include (but are not limited to): Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl’s, Ulta, B&B Theatres, Claire’s, Five Below, Hobby Lobby, Starbucks, local food and sandwich shops, Amazon, and GAS ONLY cards to local stations.
*Avoid gift cards to gaming stores as those items tend to exceed our price maximum of $25.
*DO NOT PUT GIFT CARDS IN TOY COLLECTION BINS, please drop them at one of our participating churches during normal business hours.
Monetary donations:
* Monetary donations to support our outreach are only being accepted through participating church donation pages or checks made out and dropped at one of our church locations.
Other Items:
* Stocking stuffer items. These can be bulk purchased toys or larger quantities of the same items. Items can include (but are not limited to) crayons, washable markers, colored pencils, coloring books, journals for young adults, sketch pads, hair clips, wallets, bracelets, money clips, phone cases, small purses, water bottles, small toys like balls, small building sets, candy canes, candy (no nuts!). Basically anything that will fit in a stocking.
* New or gently used stuffed animals – please wash before donating if used
* We are looking for ideas for additional premium items. These items will be in our Premium Item area where each family will have a chance to receive them.
* Wrapping paper – larger rolls, generic Christmas paper-ideally the rolls should be large enough to wrap all the presents a child receives
* Scotch tape
* Peel and stick gift labels and bows
